The purpose of using two sound cards is to use a different set of speakers. I eventually plan to use headphones plugged into one sound card for jaws and the other sound card and speakers for music etc. I guess that a "Y" patch cord would allow one to use the two cards with the same set of speakers. I am not sure what this impedance mismatch would do. If it won't hurt the speakers or cards it definitely would give a better volume control over jaws and web site music. ----- Original Message ----- From: "N & G." <lakeking@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, March 16, 2005 3:56 PM Subject: More than one sound card. Hi, I know this will sound stupid. When I activate my second sound card, is there a way I can use the same speakers for both or do I have to purchase a second set of speakers. I am only trying to save extra costs. Thank you for any advice.
