Chip,
I just tried an experiment. I opened a new E-mail, typed in an address and
then tabbed away from the address and back again. There were no apostrophes
nor semicolons surrounding the address. I'm using JFW 10, EXP Professional
with SP3 and Outlook 2003. I am completely ignorant as to why the problem
occurs for the other person nor am I disagreeing with you. I'm merely
reporting what happened with me just a few moments ago.

This is not your problem, that's just the way outlook is displaying your
email address to you, but it's not putting those characters in the
address.
No, you cannot get rid of this, this is the way outlook works.
