George, Are you sure you mean the numpad? I've always just pressed the standard Delete key in the "six-pack" of keys immediately to the right of the Back space key. In Windows 98, Windows XP Home, Outlook Express through several versions. And I don't think Jaws has anything to do with it one way or another.
