Hello, a smart tag is;
The purple dotted lines beneath text in your document indicate the smart

you can check the information out in the Microsoft word help.
while in Microsoft Word, press insert f1, and then type, for example, what
are Smart Tags.
you can shut this feature off by,
1, while in Microsoft, word, press insert V, for, jaws verbosity,
2, press the letter S, you will here, smart tags on, press spacebar to turn
off.
tab okay, enter.

Subject: MS Word: Smart Tags

Hi. While in MS Word, Jaws 6 sometimes says the phrase Smart Tag before
speaking specific words, such as city and state names, etc. I'm
wondering what smart Tags are and do they have a specific function?
Also, can the Smart Tag announcement be turned off if I desire? Thank
you.
