Hi Kari,

I also had the same problem and posted the same question on the Scripting
list on the Blind Programming website, and their is no solution till now.

But I have found a work arround and work with it. If you want to use the
work arroun it is:
Press Alt+Tab to go to another window and press Alt+Tab to take the focus
back on the Ms Word Document, and you will able to listen the information
you were looking for and the cursor is at the top of the document.
Hope this helps. I am also thinking of writting a script for the same, as
soon as i get some free time. Once I write it, I will let you guys know
about the same.

Subject: Losing Focus, I think

    Hello All,
I am afraid that this question has already been asked, but I can't find
it anywhere.
    Q. When I open MS Word, for example, JAWS will say ""MS Word", and this
is all. JAWS used to say, "MS Word, document #1, edit". I can not type
anything until it says edit. What am I missing here? I should also mention
that this only happens on a document that has already been named and saved,
not a new blank document. I would appreciate any help.
    Thanks in advance,
    Kari

P.S. I do apologize if this question has already been asked, please forgive
me.
