I don't think so, however, it is not as necessary to update a firewall, that just keeps the critters as it were, out, by blocking ports which might use them, also allowing certain programs/processes to access the internet, and all of that, sygate does quite well as it is. I've not had a single reason to worry about it though I've bought look and stop, which is small, quite good and easily configurable though you should definitely know what you're doing to configure it. :)
