Limited Audience: Accessible Fantasy Baseball?

Hi, everybody.

For those among us who tend to be both nurds and baseball fans--(a scary
combination)--it's almost time to begin participating in fantasy baseball
leagues in 2009. For those who are not familiar with this dubious pastime,
it's a way for those interested in the individual performance and statistics of
major league baseball players to create fictional teams in a league environment
that roughly simulates the decision-making process of a ball club's general
manager, who creates and "fields" a team that is made up of actual MLB players
and competes against other general managers operating in the same, agreed-upon
fictional league.

For the past five years, I've participated in a fantasy league enabled by
Yahoo!'s Web platform. But unfortunately, Yahoo! has made it impossible for a
blind JAWS user to pre-rank players that a fantasy owner wants prior to the day
of a draft, which usually ddefines the beginning of a fantasy season by
assigning players to their various teams. Yahoo! actually has taken away this
functionality by deleting some classic versions of its Fantasy Sports pages.
This pre-ranking process is usually very important, making up a key element in
a team owner's strategy.

What other platforms out there (e.g., ESPN.com, MLB.com, etc.) do support all
facets of a blind fantasy owner's preparation and operation of a team?

Any thoughts on this will be very useful as I pick a league and a platform that
is different this year. If you don't feel that this topic merits distribution
to the whole list, I understand. Please send to kbrolin65@xxxxxxxxxx

To all those who don't give a rip about this, thanks for your indulgence.

Kind regards,

-Kane
