Jfw and Vista

Hello,
I'm using jfw10 and just did a fresh install of vista ultimate sp1.
I'm wondering the most optimum settings for configuring vista with
jfw. I'm looking for best performance.
I'm using an inspiron laptop and my sound seems sluggish. FS
recommended installing a driver for sigmatel stacks which i have and
did install. I'm now getting popping noises from the sound.
