Pages can be coded for specific language, british english and american
english are two of those languages. If you want to stop this from
happening, open config manager, open settings, open html options, tab to
tetect languages and uncheck it, press enter, close and save.

I have the synthesizer language on British English. For some reason I just
like it better. However, on some websites, and it seems to be random, it
will start talking in the American english accent. What's up with that?
