Hi Brad,
Yes, it's not right, and I'm sorry because the procedure described in my
previous message is not really a good one. It means surviving no
matter what! It's not fair, and I can tell you that Software Designers tend
to follow the traffic, I mean standards imposed by others, which is not
always a good idea. As a programmer, I feel there's nothing wrong in having
a full and unique Manual with Table of Contents, Page Numbers, Index, as
well as a
Multiple Keyword Search Feature. I have never seen a good one, although it
can be easily implemented in the source code. Help files tend to stick to
Index, Contents, and Search and they are not often accessible even to the
sighted user. Often, there's no menu or just a poorly designed one, or even
a
hidden one, that's why the sighted user is supposed to right click. How can
he know that? What about a blind person? One will be forced to camp right
there to search and search until he or she gets tired. I just feel that
there's nothing wrong in designing a good and accessible Manual because we
all want to learn and search for helpful information. After all, we pay for
a product, and we expect a good and accessible manual in return.

Adam,

I'll try the right click option. I was planning on doing as you suggested
tried CTRL A to copy all but it told me no text copied so assumed it was
not able to be highlighted. Actually thinking of it, It is pityful we are
left in a lurch for help for the money we pay for this program. I know
there are many things to consider when adapting to the many programs, and
things change rapidly when dealing with apps out of your own control, but
come on, your own help files???? I will write FS. I just don't think that
is right. Thanks for the tip.

Brad
