Well, sometimes, it's good to know that you're wrong!

Makes me want to switch to a Mack too, but for now, due to what they use at
my new job, I'll have to stick to Windows.

Darn!

My friend, you'll be happy to know that you are completely wrong. The Mac
has a built in screen reader which is fully functional! This is not some
sorry stripped down thing like Narrator; but rather, a full functioning
screen reader. All your friend needs to do to activate it is press the
following key sequence:

command key+F5. ON an Apple keyboard, the command keys will be found next
to the space bar; usually on both the left and right sides. The option key
is next to this key, and the control key next to the option key. In the
interest of full disclosure, I'm considering switching to a Mac myself.
This is because of the Braille display driver signing initiative by FS
which, I'm sure, will cause many a customer to leave.

HTH.

Sincerely,
The Constantly BAREFOOTED Ray

Ok, guys, it's time to tap into your wisdom again.

I am attending a work-related conference, and someone just asked me if there
is a Jaws program, or equivalent, for Macintosh computers?

I told them that I didn't think so, but I suspect someone on here would know
for sure.

The person who asked me has a relative who is a Mac user, and is loosing
his/her sight, so is starting to wonder about speech screen reading software
that might be useful.

I'm at this conference for the next ffew days, so if anyone has any info,
I'll be able to pass it along to the person asking the question.

Thanks as always!
