Hi Owen, Just getting around to checking this out for you. I have the same setup as you described. In my instance, I tried both scenarios out with the verbosity setting as beginner, intermediate, and advanced. In all 3 instances, the edit field reports edit when the f2 key is pressed. When it comes to closing the window using control + f4, I get verbal feedback that the window is closing in beginner and intermediate. In advanced, jaws only says Microsoft excel. I have made only a few changes to the defaults in these settings. Nothing that would have affected this. What you are experiencing is strange. have you tried to run jaws 9 as a default in the run dialog to see if that makes a difference? rich ----- Original Message ----- From: Owen Palamountain Sent: Tuesday, May 27, 2008 1:42 AM Hi List, Has anyone noticed that in Microsoft excel 2003 with Jaws build 2169 when using the f2 key that it no longer says edit when you push it to edit a cell and also it no longer says close document window when you press control f4 as well. I have checked this out on my laptop which is running Jaws 9.0.519 and it is ok.
