Tom and all, Interestingly, in jaws 4.51, I did not notice this problem on
the web but in 5 I do.

Virgil,

If you have not yet tried David Poehlman's suggestion about using
Jaws+Escape after each control+Pagedown, I heartily recommend it. I
discovered this at work today while trying to read a pdf file. I think Jaws
is missing the screen update on paging operations for some files. I notice
Jaws has this same problem on a lot of web pages.

good tip David!
