Why not download Tirc (Talking Irc) from http://www.talkingirc.net. This
programme directly interfaces with both JAWS and Window-Eyes, so no
scripts or configuration is necessary. Apologies for mentioning the
competition; I was giving a general overview of what this neat little
tool does. I use JAWS 8 demo, Mirc 6.21 and Tirc 3.8 and it works
seemlessly. Hope that helps.
