Yeah, this pretty much works like windows xp does. JAWS is a program that 
works under xp, it's not concerned with any modifications you make to your 
machine, unless of course it's a new one where you would have to authorize. 
I think people are probably still pretty unfamiliar with this, so there are 
still lots of questions.  From what I was told, people who purchased JAWS 
back in the old days will be given the same number of installs they had 
before. So if you were given a floppy with 5 keys on it you initially get 5 
installs before you have to reset.
and I'm sure FS will have some kind of facility to manually reset your 
code. You could simply enter your number onto a special website and then it 
would query a database where this info is kept. If the number matches up, 
you would be reset, or given instructions how to do this.  I'm not actually 
sure if this would happen but it's a good idea so that someone wouldn't 
have to keep calling FS every single time something like this happens. I'm 
sure their tech support staff will want to help other problems get fixed, 
so I'm pretty sure they'll have some kind of facility for taking care of 
something like this.
