I do use the laptop layout while on the laptop keyboard, routing seems to
work ok using the insert key method. I actually like using the laptop layout
on my full sized keyboards as well, find it handy to have the insert key on
both ends and it helps me avoid inadvertent caps locks when hammering out
long writings, and the num pad still works the same as it does in desktop
setting.
I'm not familiar with your reference to use of the FN key on other laptops
to route Jaws, guess I didn't pick that one up on my HP.I When I've had to
do things that require a lot of work in the jaws cursor or invisible cursor
I generally use an external kb as doing it on the laptop requires me to hold
down the insert key to maintain navigation. Have you found a way around
that? If so I'd be interested in what alternative key asignments you've used
and how you did it.

Just curious, do you use the JAWS Laptop keyboard layout on your Lenovo
X200? If not, how did you handle turning the JAWS and PC cursors on and
routing them to each other. I found that the FN key didn't allow me to do
this as it had on other laptops I've used. I love this laptop, it is so
small and lightweight but still has a full size keyboard. Since I use it
often to write JAWS scripts and I don't care for using the JAWS Laptop
Keyboard settings, I ended up changing the JAWS and PC Cursors and the
routing to different keystrokes. The size and weight of this computer make
it very convenient. I also found out that it is pretty durable, it has
fallen out of chairs and off tables a time or two and keeps on ticking.
