I second that.  I do the same thing.  But you have to remember to tab around 
the dialogue box that comes up as you begin a download, and learn how to 
designate exactly which folder, in which drive, you wish the download to be 
directed to.  Learn how to make sure that this is set for the folder you've 
created for the purpose (or any other target folder you think will serve the 
purpose).  That dialogue box may seem a little tricky to set up at first, or 
at least it did to me, but once you figure out, you've become the master or 
mistress of your download routing, and will always be secure about where to 
find your new stuff.

BTW... Just as a hint to make things easier. I create a folder called My
Downloads. All downloads go there no matter what they are. This makes it
much easier to find and manage them and they can be moved to where ever
later.
