Jaws 10 and spyware misbehavior

I've just installed Jaws 10 and now have two anti-spyware gglitches.

1. When I launch Spyware Blaster, Jaws announces its name but then doesn't
speak the command for opening the commands list that allows you to operate
the program. Dead silence. Useless.
2. Super Anti Spyware behaved strangely when I tried to scan with it. After
just a couple of seconds, it asked if I really wanted to cancel the scan, or
words to that effect. If I pressed enter on no, it did the same as when I
pressed Enter on Yes. The scan sopped, said it was complete, and no further
information was given. Users of this program will know that it doesn't
ordinarily work this way at all. I tried scanning a couple of time, but the
same thing kept happening.

Now, please, before kindly providing the names of other anti spyware
software to recommend, can someone respond to these questions? Thanks very
much.
