Hi Joseph,

I have not tried that driver. Do you mean I can install that driver from Humanware? I didn't get my Pocket Vario from them actually. Also, I am not sure what braille language does it display as I don't understand the number displayed for the battery life.

So do I need to uninstall the software which came with the vario before I install the one from humanware?

Thank you.

Regards,
Penny

Hi there,

Have you tried the Brailliant 24 (Humanware's rebranding of Pocket Vario)
drivers from HumanWart?

Cheers,

Joseph

Subject: JFW with Pocket Vario

Hi Listers,

I have recently acquired a Baum Pocket Vario and I am trying to get JAWS to
work with it but to no avail.

I have installed the driver that came with the braille display, but I just
can't select USB connection. My laptop just can't seem to communicate with
the Pocket Vario.

I am at a lost. I sincerely hope that someone can help me in this.

You can send your replies to me at

Looking forward to any replies/solutions.

Best regards,
