I, too, have encountered that issue, but only in a few instances; I just
keep pressing "control" until it stops.

Remember when you could just hit the control key and JAWS stopped speaking
immediately? My experience is that now it takes four or five seconds to
stop. I sure preferred the instant stop to this delay.
