After pressing insert F7, to bring up the list of links, have you tried first letter navigation, or the up and down arrow keys, to select a link? Are you using Jfw 7.0? If so, try going back to the last version that you didn't have this problem with. Often it does but often it does not. I say this because earlier versionsa always read whatever link one happenedto choose using Insert F 7. If JAWS says nothing when one selects a link using Insert F 7, then how does one know where one is if one hears nothing? And then sometimes JAWS will read the link one chooses using Insert F 7. It is hit and miss and should work every time as in earlier versions read correctly whatever I chose using Insert F 7 all thet ime.] ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ricque" <ricque@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, December 17, 2005 9:49 PM Subject: Re: JAWS not reading selected tesxt > What application are you trying to use this in? > Insert F7 is used to bring up a list of links on a web page. > Ricque > ----- Original Message ----- > From: <ptusing@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> > To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> > Sent: Saturday, December 17, 2005 9:37 PM > Subject: JAWS not reading selected tesxt > > > Hi all, > > I have noticed that when using "insert + F 7" thatJAWS will frequently > not > read the selected item at all and remains silent. > > > > This diminishes the value of Insert F 7. > > > > -- > To post a message to the list, send it to jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send a message to > jfw-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line. > Archives located at: //www.freelists.org/archives/jfw > > If you have any concerns about the list, post received from the list, or > the > way the list is being run, do not post them to the list.
