Any possibility you have a screen saver that starts up? If I step away from my computer for a short time and leave the focus on JAWS or any other program, when I come back I find that the focus has changed to a blank screen and I have to alt-tab back to the screen I was working on or want to get to. Any idea what might be causing this? I'm not even sure if it's a JAWS-related problem or not, but I never encountered this using lower versions of the program. PS: Thanks to those of you who have helped answer some of my other inane questions I posted during the past week. Although I can't write to you individually, your replies to my questions are sincerely appreciated and I think you for your time.
A few thoughts which may be helpful:1. If you use Jaws 11 on without working with the system, linkage seems to cause difficulty including focus. Suggestion: Turn jaws off when leaving the system running for more than a half hour. Use hotkey to restart Jaws back on when you return
2. Windows 7 seems to leave a number of windows open much of the time. Jaws doesn't report this situation. Lots of open windows at a time, can bring on confusion of focus When you try to work.
