This is resolved in Windows Vista and higher. For XP, there isnt a way to restart a service, like JAWS, when a user is logged out of the system.

JAWS is set to start automatically on reboot, however, when a student who does not require JAWS exits the program and logs out, JAWS is not available to read the login screen. Should a vision impaired student need to use the workstation they will either attempt to enter their credentials or have to seek assistance. Is there a way to restart JAWS as a service on logout? The only option currently seems to be forcing the machines to reboot when someone logs out. I know windows narrator is another option but would rather set something up with jaws. -- JFW related links: JFW homepage: http://www.freedomscientific.com/ Scripting mailing list: http://lists.the-jdh.com/listinfo.cgi/scriptography-the-jdh.com JFW List instructions: To post a message to the list, send it to jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send a message to jfw-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line.
