Alicia, first of all, What version of Microsoft Word are you using? If you are using Microsoft Word 2003, please do the following: 1. Open ms. Word. 2. Press Alt + T, and O, to load the option window. 3. Press your ctrl + Tab key, and look for View tab. 4. Once you are there, press tab once, and look for "Task pain check box" 5. This is check by default. Please press your space bar to uncheck. 6. Once you are done, press your tab key, and look for the ok button. 7. Once you found it, hit your enter key or your space bar, to exit. 8. Restart your ms. Word and let me know if your problem fixed. Is there a way to configure Word to not allow that getting started thing to show up? Thanks, Alicia
