Jerry, yes I have serious concerns about this too. I shouldn't say
concerns, but it is definitely something to be aware of, and I honestly
think it needs to be addressed.
Because I almost got bit once again.
I had indeed modified my default jss file.
I installed the update, tried it, then thought to myself, now you need to go
get rid of that default jss file you have compiled in your users settings
enu in order for the new one to load.
I hadn't made extensive changes, so it wasn't a big deal, but I wonder how
many people are still loading the old scripts without being aware of it.
For example, people who use skype, add a line to the default file for skype
watch. So they need to add this line to the new default file and compile to
be using the new update default jss file.
Sorry whenever I talk about this, it just comes across as babbling if you
aren't affected by it and don't make any script changes.
Debbie

Hello Debbie and others.

Although it's good to know that we can now keep current with the latest
fixes and updates in JFW, I have some qualms about what happens to those of
us who extensively modify source code for default and other .JSS files. If
automatic updates come in the form of patches that are unlikely to be
seriously affected by scripts, I have no room for worry. Debbie, do you or
does anyone else know what precisely we get when bringing in one of these
unseen updates? Do they, as I suspect, include source code files?

Jerry
