With outlook 2003, you go to the view menu, the arrange by sub menu, the
current view sub menu, and choose the format columns menu choice. In
there, you can specify actual column widths in pixels for each field.
You may find removing some of the columns first (the ones with various
icons, status flags, etc.) that you aren't using, may give you more room
to work with.
