JAWS Repair question

I'm trying to help a friend repair JAWS. She said she thought she has JAWS
10 on her computer, but it says JAWS 9. In any case, she has the disk and
put it in the CD drive to start installation, so she can repair. We can get
as far as pressing the setup button, then everything quits. It's as though
pressing the setup button closes the program. She tried with JAWS loaded,
and also with starting the setup with JAWS unloaded. It does the same
thing. It's just complete silence after she hits the setup button.

Does anyone have any ideas about why this might be happening?

Cindy
