Actually, whether JAWS reads the symbol correctly or not depends on the speech synthesizer you are using.

Will Jaws read the symbol for degrees
I would like to use this symbol in Word 2000, but I want to know if Jaws
will read it before I ask how to insert this symbol into my document.
Using Jaws 4.51, with WinXP, and Word 2000.
