Yes, and they did the same for Outlook 2003.
I am now able to quickly review the few hundred emails I receive every day
by not having to listen to the date and size information to each email which
I have suppressed in Outlook 2003 customization menu.
It's a bit more complicated having to suppress most of the options in the
Customize Outlook message list but now possible to get done.
I wish they could have resolved this issue with JAWS version 11 since I have
had to rely on Jaws 10 when using Outlook until now.
What a waist of time and money.
Oh well, better late then never.
I felt there for a while I might have to resort using Thunderbird or the
like.

They did a lot for MS Outlook 2010 because I can scroll through the messages
again. I'm so pleased about that.

Quite a long laundry list of enhancements in this release, and not many for
Research it, for a change. Some very significant fixes and meaningful
enhancements, due in part to excellent feedback from the user community, I
suspect.

This update just released seems to have nicely fixed the issue previously
reported with the reading of e mail messages in Outlook Express. Mitch
