I had a problem with accessing the address bar and others did too. I think it was debbie scales who turned us onto a way to fix it unless something is covering it up. go to the view menu and into toolbars, activate the standard buttons tool bar and make sure that under the main view menu, that address bar is checked by pressing enter on it if it is not. check your address bar to see if it reads. You can then remove the tool bar again if you like or leave it there. There was other stuff in her message, but that's what worked for me. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Alexandre Alves Tôco" <alexandretoco@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, May 03, 2004 9:38 AM Subject: Re: Internet Explorer Problem Hi, it would be nice if you ask some one to look at your screen to see if there is any window hidding the address bar. I had some problems like this with office toolbar. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sameer" <salatey@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: <JFW@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, May 01, 2004 4:05 PM Subject: Internet Explorer Problem Dear list members, For the last two days, I have been facing a peculiar problem. When I open Internet Explorer and go to the Address Bar, JAWS stops speaking. I am able to type URLs by practice only. I ran Norton 2004 and also did a reinstall of JAWS, but it was of no use. When I attempted to compile the Internet Explorer 5-6.JSs file, the following message appeared Function setupstuff for new page does not take any parameters Will replacing the .JSS file with one from another user solve the problem? I am using Windows XP and JAWS 5.00844 Thanks in advance.
