Hello Jim. Multi-User Software Licenses Freedom Scientific offers Multi-User License pricing for the JAWS for Windows, MAGic, and OpenBook software packages. These licenses are specifically designed to meet the needs of institutions such as libraries, schools, training centers, government agencies, and private corporations. The Multi-User License allows an organization to install the software for concurrent use by a specified number of individuals. These licenses are network ready, allowing the network administrator to set individual user profiles. The three types of licenses are Site, District, and Enterprise Licenses, and they are sold in blocks of five. One person must be designated as the contact for the entire Multi-User License. Site License The Site License is specifically designed for educational institutions, public libraries, and organizations whose sole purpose is to better the lives of the blind and visually impaired. The Site License may only be used at one designated location on computers owned and maintained by the purchasing organization. District License The District License is also designed for educational institutions, public libraries, and organizations whose sole purpose is to better the lives of the blind and visually impaired. However, a District License allows the purchasing organization to install the software at more than one facility on computers that they own and maintain. Enterprise License The Enterprise License is tailored to meet the needs of private businesses and government agencies. The Enterprise License can be installed in multiple locations, but can only be used on computers owned by the specified company or agency. Hi Listers, the community college I was enrolled in back in 2002 had what I believe was called a Institutional license for Jaws. Do any of you know how big and how formal a organization must be to qualify for a Institutional license? thanks upfront for your input!
