The reason being, MSN Hotmail recently received a huge volume of support requests and we are diligently working to respond to all the requests at the earliest. Alice, I understand that you could not comprehend the e-mail sent to you the last time. I certainly apologize for this inconvenience. However, let me explain in simple terms. Browser is the interface, which you usually use to access your Hotmail account, for example, Internet Explorer. When you continue to browse through the Internet, you use a lot of user names and passwords. Cher, the user names and passwords are cached (temporarily stored) in small text files known as Cookies. In simple words, the username and password credentials are contained in the cookies. When such cookies are overloaded, it might fail from authenticating you as a user. "Configuring your Browser", means deleting those cookies and also enabling cookies to accept your logon information. A. Delete your browser Cookies, Clear your Temporary Internet Files (or Cache) and your browser History (recently visited sites). 1. From the "Tools" menu, select "Internet Options." 2. On the General tab, under "Temporary Internet Files," a. Click on "Delete Cookies" then click "OK." b. Click on "Delete Files." Put a checkmark on the "Delete all offline Content" radio button, then click "OK." c. Click on the "Settings" button. Under "Check for newer versions of stored pages," select "Every Visit to the Page." Click "OK." 3. Under the same tab, click the "Clear History" button under "History" and choose "yes." 4. Click "OK." B. Enable your cookies: 1. On the "Tools" menu, click "Internet Options." 2. On the "Privacy" tab, click "Advanced Button." 3. Check "Override Automatic Cookie Handling! ." Confi rm that first party cookies and third party cookies are set to accept. 4. Click "OK." C. Lower your security settings: 1. From the "Tools" menu, click on "Internet Options". 2. On the Security tab, click on "Default Level" and choose "Medium". 3. Click on "Apply" to confirm the changes. After you complete these settings, you should be able to login to your Hotmail account, with out getting logged out. If the problem persists, I recommend you disable the Firewall, if any and check if that could hinder during logging in. Please contact us if you need further assistance. We would be glad to assist you.
