Help needed with a dvd drive

Hello Everyone,I
Cannot find my dvd player drive in My Computer. I tried to do an add
hardware but the computer could not find the dvd drive.
I am using Windows XP Pro and I have remote assistant, so if anyone is able
to help me. I can have them look at my computer.
I would appreciate any help to fix this problem.
