Help again Silent Desktop

Hi
  When I was trying to switch the voice from Sam to a SAPI voice for BG 
Yahtzee, I think I did something to make the desktop silent.  Jaws won't read 
the icons on the desktop.  How do I fix this?  After I fix this, how can I make 
BG Yahtzee use a different voice than Sam?  Thanks for any help.
