Help With Settings In Thunderbird

Hi and thank you for the help.

I installed thunder bird 3. I can't get it to send or receive email. I tried to 
configure it according to my windows mail, but I must be doing something wrong, 
because it does not work. I uninstalled Thunder bird.

I would really appreciate the help, because I would like to try this program.
