you must have accidently checked the option for grouping threads. to fix this
go to the view menu while in outlook express' main screen. alt v to open the
view menu
right arrow on current view
press enter on "group messages by conversation".
so you know, what this option is for is that it puts together all the mesages
you get that have the same subject line. so you can read them one after the
other rather than having them spread all over your inbox. when you see one that
is closed just right arrow to open it.
