I have it directed to C, and you have a choice of where you want to store those files. I also do some manual copying of files I want to be sure about. One way to check what it's done is to do a file search with Windows c and check that duplicates show up in the results. You can check the paths in that window with Insert tab. ----- Original Message ----- From: Kathye and Gene To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Wednesday, March 25, 2009 9:00 PM Subject: Re: Hard Drive Dying Thanks, I'm going to try Karen's Replicator as you suggest. Should I set it up to backup all files in my C:\ directory? If not, which folders should I backup? As I said before my hard drive is dying and I need to populate the replacement with all my important applications and data. Thanks for your help, Kathye ----- Original Message ----- From: G.W. I think it's dying. Any suggestions on how I can prepare for this and save all the appllications and settings and license information and scripts, etc, so that I can copy it all to a new hard drive? I have a 500 G external USB drive that I use for backups by just copying the data folders to it periodicly. I have about 400 G free. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
