Hi. Don't forget about the "free" Microsoft tools. They are not specifically
for the registry (I use Norton360 to do that type of work), but they (CHKDSK
for you old-timers) might solve your problem(s).

Briefly:
1. click on My Computer
2. left mouse click your primary hard drive (probably your C: drive) to select
it
3. right mouse click on it to bring up a contextual menu
4. select Properties
5. select the Tools tab
6. select the error checking option(you could do the defragmentation later)
7. click in the 2 boxes for a thorough check with repairs/fix
8. click on 'ok' to set the settings, but you are going to have to reboot the
computer to automatically run the diagnostics
9. reboot
10. before the Microsoft blue Welcome screen appears CHKDSK will run in 5
stages... stage 1, 2 and 3 go pretty quickly, while stages 4 and 5 take more
time.

Your computer will be in much better shape after the test completes... and it's
free!

Good luck.

KenC

Not true. The free version available today repairs registry errors that it
detects.

      Hi,
There is nothing for free. This program will find the errors but you
will have to pay $29.95 to buy the program in order to correct the errors found
on your computer.----- Original Message -----
