Yeah; I freaked when my outlook 2003 got loaded without my knowing; hey, I'm
a government employee. No personal control.
There are still some wierd things that happen with these 2003 products that
can get pretty frustrating. I almost want to go back to 2000.

Subject: Found Answer to My Reading Layout Question
Hi All:
Yesterday on this list I had asked if there is a way to change the default for opening Word attachments in MS Outlook 2003 so the attachments do not open up in Reading Layout view which JFW doesn't support. I found a way to do this, and you actually have to change an option in MS Word itself.
Here's what you do: 1. Go into MS Word. 2. Hold down the alt key and press "t" to get to the tools menu. 3. Either arrow down until you hear JAWS say "options" or press "o" to go directly to the options dialog. 4. Hit control-tab to go to the general tab inside this dialog. 5. Tab until you hear JAWS say "Allow startup in Reading Layout." This will be a checkbox and it probably will be checked. Hit the space bar to uncheck it. 6. Tab until you hear JAWS say "ok" and press enter. 7. Close MS Word by hitting alt-F4.
Just wanted to share this in case anyone else needs to know.
