Message I'm certainly not the expert on this subject, but from what I have read, Firefox offers no substantial advantages over IE for JAWS users. In fact, the latest version of Firefox seems to have a few quirks that JAWS has trouble handling. So if you're happy with IE, there's probably no compelling reason to switch to Firefox. I suspect that many people use Firefox simply because they hate Microsoft so much, not because IE is an inferior product. ----- Original Message ----- From: Larry Stansifer To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Thursday, July 03, 2008 9:08 AM Subject: FireFox Hi folks, Lately I have been reading a lot about "Mozilla FireFox." I am curious, is there any really compelling reason for a blind person to jump ship from "MSIE7? I am using jaws 8.latest and windows-XP Pro. I am not interested in changing applications such as my E-mail client "MS-Outlook-XP" or anything else for that matter. I am interested in features and benefits, learning curve and simplicity of changeover. TNX Larry
