There is a feature in Excel called "format plot area" which if I can remember correctly allows you to change things like the background of a chart. is there a way to access this with JAWS? I can access the chart menu which brings up format options, but these are different to what appears in the chart plot area.

Cathy,

Sorry, I should have pointed out in my previous message that the method
I outlined is the direct equivalent of the mouse user using the dragging
method. For simply copying a formula, the copy and paste method that
others have mentioned does what you need much easier.

The AutoFill method comes into its own when dealing with cells that
contain dates (if A1 contains a date, AutoFill will update that date
into the selected cells) or lists (if A1 contains Monday or January,
AutoFill will complete these lists into the selected cells). You can
also create an arithmetic progression in cells A1 and A2 and AutoFill
will continue that progression into the selected cells.

Subject: Excel and Jaws

Hi,

I have another question about Excel and Jaws. When a sighted person is
working in Excel and we have one cell highlighted with a formula in it,
we can go to the bottom right corner, where our cursor changes into a
plus sign, letting us click and drag to copy that formula into other
cells easily.

How do we do that with Jaws, or can we? When the cursor is moved, there
is no way to know when it turns into the plus sign for dragging.

Thanks for the help on this,

Cathy
