OK my final post on this as yes it's off topic, and god nows there are two many emails to read on this group as it is.
Try adjusting the width of the column,row. if the number is to big to fit in the cell size it says this I think. 
Select entire column,row
Go to format menu
choose either column or rwo in the menu
then choose autofit

Hello Jim.

When you create a formula while using Excel and your formula says number
name, it normally means Excel did not like the formula. If you will let me 
know what kind of formula you are trying to create I will try and help you
create the formula.

At this point this is not Jaws related.
