I would use Goldwave, and copy and paste each of the two mp3s into a third file, then edit out any gap between the two segments.
But, if you don't own an audio editor, such as Goldwave or Sound Forge . . . just yesterday, I was looking through the available programs on David Ferrin's JAWS Users web site:
http://www.jaws-users.com/programs/I think I remember seeing a program specifically designed to join together two mp3 files; just the sort of thing I think you're looking for.
Good luck. Blessed Be, Namaste, Dana that's Dana, D A N A, NOT Donna, D O N N AIf your synthesizer pronounces them identically, instruct your customized pronunciation dictionary that Dana=dayna.
