I just happen to have the hotkey installed. I also have it pinned to my
start menu just in case.
does it matter that I am currently running version 7 from the system tray?

Hi Rich,
As long as you set a hot key for JAWS, such as Control alt j, you
should be able to launch JAWS 7 once the demo for JAWS 8 runs out.

once the 40 minutes are up, can I unload version 8 and go back to version 7
