This may be a difference between Outlook Express and Microsoft Outlook.
They are the same - but different.
There are subtle little differences which tend to cuse one to stop and
scratch one's head in wonderment...

Hi,
sorry, but I have no idea what's going on with your delete options. I
use
only plain text in Outlook Express, and can delete an open message if I
want
to. I just forgot that there was a Delete key at the bottom of the num
pad,
because I didn't use the num pad for anything before my eyesight began
to
fail, and since then, I've used it only for its converted Jaws
functions.
So I completely forgot about there being a delete key there. That's
all.

The delete key is just to the right of the Jaws key or also known as the

insert
key.
Both delete keys work for me while in an open message, but only when I
have
O/E
set to read in HTML. When I set it to read in plain text, I have to use
the control-delete--Am I missing something here?

A delete key in the num pad? Where? I just put on the Jaws key
identification thing, Insert num row 1, and pressed every key in the num
pad. I didn't hear any one of them identified as a delete key. I don't
remember a delete key on the num pad from my days of using the keyboard
visually, either. I'm confused.

I usually use the delete key in the num pad, but XP bongs at me when
I use in the one in the six pack as well.

MS Office 2000 is on the machine, not the XP or 2003 versions.

Also, at the moment, the only version of JAWS that is on the machine
is 6.0.

Which delete key are you using, the one in the six pack or the one on
