This may not always work. I originally had the hot key combo of Alt Control J assigned to launch JAWS 8. I wanted to assign a new hot key combo to launch JAWS 8, Alt Control 8. So I deleted Alt Control J from the JAWS 8 Shortcut page, entered Alt Control 8, pressed Apply and then Okay. Well, guess what? The Alt Control J combo was never deleted. So now, both Alt Control J as well as Alt Control 8 launch JAWS 8. Is there a folder where all these desktop hot keys are stored? Is there an alternate means of deleting "hidden" hot keys, other than through the Shortcut page of its desktop icon's Properties dialog?

Hi,
Point to jaws 10 on the desktop and enter an Alt + the EnterKey and tab to the shortcut tab and type a different letter for jaws 10. When you do a control+Alt+ your new character it will run Jaws 10. Roger ----- Original Message ----- From: "stacey robinson" <staceyr75@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Subject: Closing jaws nine

Hi all,
I've just joined the list after downloading the beta. I have jaws nine on my laptop as well.
I've set it so that it doesn't run first and jaws ten does.
If I quit jaws and then resart with control alt j jaws nine comes up.
How can I fix it so jaws nine doesn't come up when I use that hot key?
I thought there was a way to close it, but I can't find one.
All help is appreciated.
Thanks,
