Can I change a folder name

Hi all,
I'm wondering if I can change a folder name. Here's what I would like to do.
For example, here's a path:
C:\documents And Settings\compaq_Owner\Freedom Scientific\
I've noticed most of you have your name where "Compaq_Owner" is. When I try
to change that folder name, windows says a that folder is required by
Windows and cannot be changed. Is there any way to change it from:
"Compaq_Owner" to "Marvin"?
