Sorry, I have no idea about burning the protected files because most of the
services such as I Tunes require some type of charge per tune to burn
without the blockage.
Take care,
John

Subject: Burning DRM-protected songs as raw audio?

Hi Ray and John,

Is this really possible to totally drive WMP with jaws: select songs you
want to burn and then launch the burning process?

Does one need jaws scripts to perform these operations and if so, where
can I get them?

I'd like to do so in order to be able to burn backup copies of songs I
bought sometime ago. The songs are encoded as .wma files with DRM. These
DRMs allow me to burn these songs at most three times but how should I
burn them?

More precisely, since they are protected, WMP is the only software I
know, which can extract the audio data contained in them.

Does there exist any jaws-friendlier legal alternative to play
DRM-protected WMA files or to burn them as raw audio?
Many thanks in advance. Have a nice day. Chris

Subject: RE: Question

Hi John and all:

If he burns the CDs in Windows Media Player, will he be able to convert
them to an audio format that will play in a car on a system that does
not support MP3 files?

Thanks,
