The preferable way to select blocks of text, small or large, is to write three macros in visual basic in MS Word. Keystrokes are assigned to two of these macros, one allowing the user to mark the beginning of a block, then move to the right, stop and block is selected, the other, allowing movement backwards, that is, to the left of the cursor. I am away from my home at present and have forgotten the code that can be easily written into text files and pasted within the visual basic editor. I'll be glad to dig my code up when I return home, Tuesday next week if someone hasn't already come to your rescue. If you still need them by Tuesday next, drop me a line at: jerry.neufeld@xxxxxxxxxx All the best, Jerry ----- Original Message ----- From: Dale Leavens To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Monday, May 08, 2006 9:37 PM Subject: Blocking text in Word. I remember instructions for blocking text by setting markers, one at the beginning of the text to be highlighted and the other at the end. I was sure I saved the message but it might have been before the drive on this computer died. I don't remember either if it was done through JAWS or Word. I think it must have been in JAWS because I cannot find any reference to it inn the Word help I am looking for a quick way to select a large block of text quickly to move among documents. Thanks.
