Some Acrobat files give you many options in the file menu, some don't. Others may give you better and more specific advice, but meanwhile I have three general suggestions. 1. Be sure you wait for the entire file to load. Unfortunately, Adobe doesn't announce when loading is complete. Give the file as much as a minute to load without moving around in it, and then see how far you can progress through it page by page, meaning with the control-pagedown key combination. 2. Usually the file menu has a "save as" option that enables you to download the file to your PC. Again, you must wait for the original loading to finish. 3. Go to the digest version of this list and look for people's many suggestions on handling Acrobat files. I believe this list has such a digest.
